A0 and A1 Plan Printing in Cannock
Printed plans for builders, architects and contractors
Printmonster prints building plans, architectural drawings and technical plans in A0, A1 and A2 sizes. Based in Cannock, we help builders, architects, contractors and homeowners turn PDF drawings into clear paper copies for site work and project discussions.
Building plans and technical drawings
Whether you need one drawing or several sets for a project, we can print your supplied plans in black and white or colour.
We print:
Architectural floor plans and elevations
Building and construction drawings
Structural and engineering drawings
Electrical and plumbing layouts
Site maps and location plans
Large paper copies make it easier to view the whole drawing, discuss details with others and add handwritten notes. Colour printing can help where different areas, services or annotations need to remain distinguishable.
Plan printing forms part of our large format printing service.
A0, A1 and A2 plan sizes
The correct paper size depends on how your drawing has been prepared and how you intend to use it.
| Paper size | Dimensions |
|---|---|
| A2 | 420 × 594 mm |
| A1 | 594 × 841 mm |
| A0 | 841 × 1189 mm |
If the drawing specifies a paper size, include that information with your order. Tell us if you need a different size so we can discuss how the change will affect the printed scale.
Getting the scale right
A drawing marked 1:100 at A1 needs to be printed at its intended size to retain that scale. Reducing the same drawing to A2 changes the scale, even though the original scale label remains visible.
For plans that need to be measured, send the original PDF and confirm the required paper size and scale. Avoid screenshots or photographs of drawings, as these may lose detail and make the intended scale difficult to establish.
If you only need a smaller reference copy for a meeting or discussion, let us know. This helps distinguish it from a drawing intended for taking measurements.
Sending your plans for printing
PDF is our preferred format. Where possible, send the original exported drawing rather than a scan of an existing print.
With your files, please include:
The required paper size
The number of copies or complete sets
Whether you need black and white or colour
Any scale requirements
The date you need the prints
Check that you are sending the latest drawing revision. If your PDF contains several pages but you only need some printed, identify the page numbers or drawing references clearly.
For files that are too large to email, our guide explains how to send large artwork files.

Plan printing FAQs
Can I order just one printed plan?
Yes. We can print a single drawing as well as multiple copies or complete project sets. Send your PDF with the size and quantity required.
Can you print plans supplied by my architect?
Yes. Ask your architect to supply the PDF drawings and confirm the intended paper size. Forward those files with your printing requirements.
What if I do not know the paper size?
Send the original PDF and explain how you will use the print. We can check the PDF page size, but any uncertain scale requirements should be confirmed with the person who prepared the drawing.
Do I need colour printing?
Black and white may be suitable for straightforward line drawings. Choose colour where coloured lines, symbols or highlighted areas help explain the plan.
Request a plan printing quotation
Send your PDF drawings, paper size, quantity, colour preference and required date. We will confirm the cost and arrangements for your prints.
