Frosted Window Vinyl Creates Privacy and Identity for Axil in Cannock

When Axil Integrated Services moved into new ground floor offices in Cannock, the position of the workspace created two practical problems.

Finished frosted window graphics with Axil branding at a Cannock office.

The office sits directly opposite the main entrance to the building. With no separate reception area, visitors could easily mistake Axil’s office for the building reception.

At the same time, the clear glazing meant there was very little privacy for the team working inside.

Printmonster supplied and fitted cut out frosted window vinyl to make the office more private while giving Axil a much clearer identity from the entrance.

Frosted vinyl with the Axil logo cut out

We fitted frosted vinyl across the office glazing, with the Axil logo cut out of the frosting.

This gave the windows a clean branded appearance while obscuring the direct view into the office.

Rather than completely covering the glass, frosted vinyl allows light to continue through while reducing visibility. Incorporating the Axil logo into the design also meant that the windows could provide privacy and business identification at the same time.

The result is a more clearly defined office frontage that looks like Axil’s own workspace rather than a reception point for the wider building.

Frosted film is one of the options available through our window graphics service, particularly for offices and other commercial spaces where privacy, light and branding all need to be considered.

Giving the office a clear identity

Before the vinyl was installed, the clear glass did little to distinguish Axil’s premises from the shared entrance area immediately in front of it.

The new graphics have changed that.

Visitors entering the building can now see the Axil branding as part of the windows, helping them understand that they are looking at a specific company’s office rather than a general reception desk.

At the same time, the frosting creates a visual barrier between the busy shared entrance and the people working inside.

It is a simple example of how window graphics can solve a practical problem as well as add branding.

Privacy without losing the glass frontage

Commercial glazing can make offices feel bright and open, but its position sometimes creates privacy issues.

Frosted window vinyl can be particularly useful for ground floor offices, meeting rooms, internal glazed partitions and other areas where people need some separation from corridors, entrances or public spaces.

The design does not have to be completely plain either. Logos, lettering and other graphic elements can be incorporated into the frosting so the finished windows continue to support the company’s visual identity.

Window graphics also sit naturally alongside other forms of display signage where a business needs a consistent appearance across its premises.

Based in Cannock, Printmonster works with businesses throughout Staffordshire and the West Midlands on practical print, signage and branding projects.

Paper Label FAQ

Does frosted window vinyl provide privacy?

Frosted vinyl obscures the direct view through glass, which can make it useful for offices, meeting rooms and other spaces where greater visual privacy is required.

Can a company logo be cut into frosted window vinyl?

Yes. Logos, lettering and other shapes can be incorporated into a frosted vinyl design. For Axil, the company logo was cut out of the frosted film so the branding became part of the finished window design.

Does frosted vinyl still allow light through the windows?

Yes. Frosted vinyl reduces the clear view through the glass without completely blocking light, which can make it useful for commercial offices where both privacy and natural light matter.
